Our Story
Our story begins in the year 2011 with the experimentation done by Mr. Kariawasam, the proprietor of Waffle Boy on how to extend the shelf life of the ordinary waffle cone. Done as a part of a project on Innovation at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, this experiment helped Mr. Kariawasam in completing his Masters in Entrepreneurship as well as establishing Waffle Boy as we know today.
Mr. Kariawasam who was not a stranger to the field of the food industry, being a veteran in food industry, identified the vacuum in the Ice Cream cone industry for a quality cone. He developed the first cone under the brand Waffle Boy which has since come a long way in being the market leader in the Waffle Cone Industry.
